Nina Avdeeva

Date and place of birth
28.01.1949, Byhov, Mogilev region.

In 1971 graduated with honors from Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University, faculty of physics and mathematics, specialty “Physics and Mathematics”.
In 1975 finished graduate school, Institute of Physics, Academy of Sciences, specialty “Optics”.
In 1977 defended the thesis “Waveguide properties of absorbing and anisotropic thin-film structures” (scientific supervisor member of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Professor, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences A. M. Goncharenko).
Candidate of physics and mathematics sciences (1978), associate professor (1986).

Career Experience
Junior research scientist (1971–1972, 1975–1981) Mogilev branch of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences.
Since 1981 has been working at the Department of General Physics (since 2003 at the Department of Physics and Technical Sciences, Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University as a senior lecturer (1981–1985), as associate professor — since 1985.
From 1998 to 1999 — Deputy Dean in educational work of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.
Vice rector of the Institute of professional development and retraining (2001–2004).

Scientific interests
The light propagation in layered structures (1972–1983); the teaching of physics in high school (1984–present): educational technology, propaedeutics of experimental knowledge and skills, improving the quality of teacher training in physics, computer teaching resources.

Achievements in science
Author of over 60 scientific and methodical publications. Participated in more than 60 scientific conferences, including more than 20 international, 9 of them are foreign.
