Vladimir Matveichuk

Date and Place of Birth
1950, village Shumilino, Vitebsk region.

Education
In 1975 he graduated from the Faculty of History of Mogilev State Pedagogical Institute (at present — Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University), Minsk Party Higher School in 1984.

Career Experience
In 1968–1969 he worked as a teacher in Barankovsky school, Sirotino school in the Shumilino district. In 1969–1971 he served in the Soviet Army. In 1975–1979 he was a lecturer of Kostyukovichi District Committee. In 1984–1988 he worked as Deputy Chairman of Khotimsk District Executive Committee. From 1988 to 1995, he worked as Director of Polotsk Vocational Chemist School № 233.
From 1995 until 2004 he worked at “Polotsk-Steklovolokno” of the concern “Belneftekhim” as Director of personnel and ideological work.
In 2004 he was a Chairman of the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus. From December 22, 2005 to June 4, 2009 he was the Minister of culture of the Republic of Belarus. From June 4, 2009 he was appointed an assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus. From October 2011 till present he is the Head of the Secretariat of the Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
